Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz (born 25 October 1997) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who has emerged as one of the country's finest spinners and all-rounders. A right-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler, he has been a key figure in Bangladesh's Test cricket rise. Born in Khulna, Mehidy made his international debut in 2016 at age 18, taking 12 wickets on his Test debut against England — the best figures by a Bangladeshi bowler on debut. This remarkable performance immediately established him as a future star. Mehidy has taken over 150 Test wickets and has scored several useful lower-order runs. He was named ICC Player of the Month in 2022 after match-winning performances against India. He has been a consistent performer in all formats and has been crucial to Bangladesh's overseas Test victories.
