Biography
Bijan Zanganeh, born in 1954, served as Iran's Oil Minister from 1997 to 2005 and again from 2013 to 2021. He oversaw Iran's petroleum industry during critical periods including the imposition and lifting of nuclear sanctions. Zanganeh is known for his expertise in the oil sector and his efforts to maintain Iran's oil production despite international pressure. He has been a key figure in Iran's energy policy.
